Baked potatoes
It is cold outside. The wind is shaking even the big trees. Icicles are decorating evriting outside. It is winter ice storm. We need something to warm us inside also addition to the hot fireplace.
I remember the cold winters in childhood. My cousin and I will spend our winter brake in our grandpa's house and will play all day long. I liked to sit next to the window and look at the big snowflakes twirling outside. For lunch granny would bake us potatoes with homemade sausage. I realize I miss that time so very much. Despite that the biggest entertainment was to jump on grandpa's bed.
I can't go back to this little room with hot red cook stove, neither I can jump on the bed, but I still can bake potatoes as my granny used to do..
Here it is..
You need couple big potatoes peeled and cut on wages. Put them on the backing pan and sprinkle them with salt, pepper, oil and half cup of water. Mix well and bake in the oven on 450F.
Goes very well with glass of wine.
About the homemade sausages pride and joy of my grandpa - I still can not quite make the recipe.
